When do baby teeth fall out?

According to the experts, a baby’s teeth will usually fall out in the same order they came through. The front teeth will often be the first to go, typically followed by the next two either side until all they have all fallen out.

Baby teeth usually begin to fall out at around six to twelve years of age, however they can fall out earlier or later in some cases. Up until the age of twelve or 13 your child will have both permanent and baby teeth, leading to the typical mismatched smile of this age.

To check the progress of your child’s oral health, they should visit a dentist by their second birthday and have regular six-month check-ups from then on.
